Research Assistant with a passion for effective Science Communication, adaptable Project Management, and technological innovation.
A scientist’s job isn’t complete until they communicate their work to the greater public.
Science is cool, it’s as simple as that. It’s vital for all, not just for the scientific community, that we engage with people and open up a dialogue.
Every discovery can be reduced to a ‘what’ and a ‘why’ and getting these points across is what excites me.
My broad interests and background include:
- Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS) and genomics (as well as the other ‘omics)
- Clinical Genomics and the future of medicine
- Moral and ethical implications of science
- Effective science communication
- GI health and microbiota
- Antibiotic resistance
I’m happy to take requests, so feel free to pop me a message.
My role currently gives me the opportunity to work with the latest technology in the next-generation sequencing world, whilst also managing projects and communicating with our collaborators and customers.
